I didn't realize how spoiled I was by my early editors who almost always improved my stuff and, even when they didn't, their changes rarely changed things from accurate to inaccurate 'though wow I had some nightmares with overzealous, under-qualified fact-checkers at Maclean's... Hmm... maybe another post in that :)
